Safety

JJID’s Safety Program is driven from the top down. Senior Management insists that safety be the top priority. Frequent jobsite inspections by our Executives helps reinforce management’s involvement in safety to our personnel. JJID also retains outside consultants specializing in safety to perform safety audits of all active jobsites. In addition JJID employs a full time Safety Manager to ensure our personnel plan and perform their work in a safe manner and adhere to our written Safety Program and all applicable Federal, State and Local regulations.

An effective safety program requires everyone’s active participation. The first step is the proper education of our workforce. Safety training sessions are held in a special facility at JJID, designed and dedicated to safety training functions. Additionally, safety training sessions are conducted in the field to address specific jobsite hazards.

Sessions cover topics such as New Employee Safety Orientation, Defensive Driving, Crane Operator Training, CDL Driver Training, Project Manager and Foreman Safety Training and OSHA 10 and 30 Hour Classes. All safety training sessions are conducted by certified company personnel and typically in conjunction with active participation from management, insurance company representatives and outside safety professionals.

In addition to an accident free workplace, JJID is committed to maintaining a drug free workplace. JJID has a strict policy on controlled substances that includes Pre-Employment, Random, Reasonable Suspicion and Post-Accident drug screening.
